This humble domestic utensil dates from a time when all such objects were hand made by craftsmen who took immense pride in their work and their love of their trade is reflected in the product. Note the etched detail near the base, the fixing of the handle is embellished with a dragonfly. The whole piece has charm and a lovely patina.
