These Tuareg bowls are referred to as bazawat and are used by the nomadic Tuareg people of Mali to store or transport food. The bowl's side has detailed carvings that identify the clan and owner.

You would see these bowls used at Tuareg traditional dinners, everyone often eats from a big communal serving bowl. Display in a collection or alone. Perfect in any decor.
