Small Bamileke Stool - Cameroon
Carved from a single block of wood, this Bamileke stool has a drum-like form with a lattice of interlocking, hand-chipped diamonds. Traditionally used by chiefs in Cameroon as prestige seats during ceremonies, it carries a sense of status and gathering. The deep matte black finish feels modern while still showing the tool marks. Use it as a low side table for books and a candle, or float it beside a sofa or armchair as a sculptural accent that anchors the room.
