This ancient-inspired ceramic amphora showcases hand-painted decorative bands featuring geometric motifs and stylised floral elements in soft, earthy tones of red, brown, and grey. An amphora is an ancient vessel with a tall, narrow body, two opposing handles joining the shoulder and neck, and a typically narrow mouth. Originating from the Mediterranean, amphorae were primarily used in Greece, Rome, and surrounding cultures for the storage and transport of liquids—such as wine or olive oil—and sometimes grains or dried foods. The name comes from the Greek word meaning "carried on both sides," reflecting its dual-handle design.
