Large Green Crazed Ginger Jar
A beautiful small ginger jar in a light green glaze with a fine a subtle cracked effect. A soft green which is not overpowering and easy to co-ordinate with fabrics and other pieces around the room. Ginger jars are traditionally shaped like this vase, with a round body, narrow neck, and a small mouth with a high, domed lid. This specific shape was designed in ancient China primarily for practical reasons: to store and preserve spices and herbs and over time, this design also became aesthetically pleasing and famously known as the classic ‘ginger jar’, a quintessential decor piece.
