In a gorgeous cerulean blue glazed vase is in this classic Chinese rouleau shape style which is distinguished by its tall, straight cylindrical body, flat or angular shoulders, and a straight, narrow neck. The term derives from the French word for “roller” it became popular during the Kangxi period (17th–18th centuries) as it was ideal for displaying painted scenes around the entire surface of the vase. In this case the vase offers a varied and beautiful blue glaze with the raw porcelain at the base, a beautiful addition to any interior.
