The ancient kingdom of Benin is known for the skill and artistry of its bronze sculptures and to this day the controversy persists that under British colonial rule the royal court was plundered to provide an extensive exhibition that still is on display in the British Museum. This interesting figure of a warrior is a product of those ancient artisanal skills and a collectors’ item.
