This tonga stool has taken that heritage shape and pushed it into this graphic diamond form, so it still carries the story of Tonga village life but reads almost as a modernist piece. Styling-wise, this is the kind of piece you can move around and let it “perch” where the room needs personality. It works next to a lounge chair with a candle and a small cup, or parked beside a low sofa. It also looks great used as a plinth: pop a small bowl, vessel, or plant on top and let the base do the talking.
