This Tonga Stool from Zimbabwe is a compact, sculptural piece with an X-shaped support and a rounded top with a deep but warm mottled brown finish. Hand-carved from solid wood, it shows beautiful tool marks and tonal variation, giving it that collected, heirloom feel. Use it as a petite side table for a candle or drink, as a stand for a small vessel or plant, or layered into a grouping of stools to add height, texture and character to a corner.
