Tuareg Post - Niger
These fascinating artefacts are handmade by the Tuareg Berber tribe. They are semi-nomadic and erect tent roofs made of animal hide and supported by these individually designed pegs. Often these pegs display wear at the base where they are driven into the ground. They are both decorative when mounted but also carry a mystique about these amazing hardy but also extremely creative people.
