This beautifully patinated Chinese red leather-covered trunk is an early 20th Century piece and one which would sit comfortably in a living room as a coffee table or at a bed end to store blankets. It is executed with a craftsman’s eye for detail as demonstrated by the intricate and decorative clasp. The artist has also signed off on his work in the calligraphic history of this piece.
